It was a day trip to Seremban with my fellow friends to explore Seremban Jusco and also the most important - the Seremban Siew Bao.... but before that, we went for a quick lunch at one of the stall new Seremban 2.

I can't remember the name of the shop and i dun recall how to go there again... but it's just a hidden gem - a hawker stall selling wanton noodle and curry laksa!

Goshhh.. I love the wanton noodle!! The noodles have a good texture and the combination of the dark soy sauce was so good especially with the char siew! The wanton was so huge in size and the filling was so yummy! After all, it's only RM 3.50!

Next is the thick coconut gravy hot curry laksa with boiled egg, cockles, fish ball and fish cake. As a non-curry fan’s like me, this is my favorites meal. It’s also same price with the wanton noodle. It is quite cheaper as compared to other place.

After "shopping" at Jusco Seremban 2, we quickly go to the "Seremban Siew Bao Emperor ".While shopping, my heart was keep thinking of "Siew Bao" - non-stop!!! Just because Siew Bao is came from Seremban. I run to the shop and I saw huge crowd over there. Luckily, they have constant supply of it so I do not have to wait for long.

And here's my "Seremban Siew Bao" which was in chicken fillings. The size of it was kinda small although it's RM 1.10. The pastry was coated with nice golden egg wash and it’s was so flaky ...... the filling was dark in colour and the taste of it was really great....... yea..... This is the taste that I'm looking for...

This is a Taiwanese noodle shop at Damansara Uptown. It originates from Malacca and one of the partner’s mum happens to be a Taiwanese.

This is Chilled Tofu with Chicken Floss (RM 4.90). The tofu has a slight sour taste and the gravy is too salty for my liking. It is not really suit to my flavor.

Szechuan Spicy Beef Noodles (RM 6.00). Apart from chunks of beef, a generous serving of beef tendon and noodles are seen. However, there was a distinct lack of wow factor.

My friend and I also tried out the signature dish - Shanghai Deep Fried Pork Chop Noodles (RM 5.50). I used to frequent their Malacca outlet for this. The noodles, made of soy bean, are smooth and chewy while the deep fried pork is flavorful and tender. An extra order of the deep fried pork (RM 3.50) was ordered to satisfy our cravings.
We reckon that only the signature Shanghainese Deep Fried Pork Chop Noodles is good and worth trying. With the reasonable pricing and attentive services, we wouldn’t mind dropping by for a quick fix.

Loh Mee
This is a special mee in sticky starchy sauce. Another hawker favourite which you either like or dislike. The "loh" is the sticky sauce (I think it's slimy!) but mixed with chilly and fried shallots, it is quite a different taste and feel as the noodle slide down your palate!

Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee
This is a special noodle dish in a prawn based soup. It's the soup that makes the difference, the sweet prawny essence with the spicy chili sauce packs a kick. Now that beats tea and toast for breakfast anytime!

ABC/ Ice Kacang
Air Batu Campur (ABC in malay it means mixed ice) is fantastic as a desert on a hot day...which is everyday here.
This in my opinion is the best Ice Kacang in Penang, in Swatau lane. The speciality is the extra fruits you can add in ... jackfruit (nangka), papaya(paw paw), bananas, etc. Really hits the spot on a hot day.The top picture is without the fruits, the bottom one has fruits covering the already plentiful ingredients. Please don't think the stuff you eat at the hotel is a real ice kacang till you have tried this! And it costs only 3 ringgit for the works!

This is my favourite ice kachang place, just behind the Giant supermarket along Burma road. You can add extra fruits like banana, jack fruit, papaya and mango which makes this a very refreshing desert. Surprisingly you can get a very nice bowl of Ice Kachang for only rm3!

Sar Hor Fan
Oh, my god!I feel hungry again! Sar Hor Fun needs to be eaten hot, with the egg still cooking in the sauce. Wait 10 minutes and the starchy sauce becomes like glue! So fresh Sar Hor Fun with bee hoon and that slightly burnt taste really hits the spot when you are famished!

Stir Fried noodles in a seafood gravy sauce . Hmm I find it hard to describe except it's very tasty!

Literally fried flat noodles, this dish is surprisingly delicious. The noodles are first stir fried till it is a little burnt. Then the sauce is added. Make sure you ask for an egg with it. Over at Bee Hooi restaurant in Pulau Tikus I like their Sar Hor Fun at night. A generous serving with the slightly burnt Hor Fun taste. It only costs RM3.
